Overall, the game has a new & interesting story behind the game. My family and I have played a few times now. The first time we played, it took awhile to get the hang of the instructions and what to do, so anticipate a 1hr+ game. It is strategic and recommended for 10+ in terms of age. The con is that it does max out at 4 players, so not a party game for a large group, but certainly 2-4 players works. We have the Founders’ edition so the tokens and all game cards are very well designed. The characters are fun and the concept of the mining and surprise elements keeps the game interesting!
Such a fun game! Offering lots of twists, turns and challenge in a classic boardgame style with multiple ways to both win AND lose! You never know how the game will play out That's what makes it so entertaining! Make sure you pay attention so you can outplay your fellow bandits!
We absolutely love Digging Bandits! It’s become one of our favourite family games. It’s fast-paced, fun, and keeps everyone involved. There’s enough strategy to make your decisions matter, but the element of luck means that even a newer player can turn the game around at any moment. That balance makes it exciting right to the end and keeps us coming back. Highly recommend it for families!
Every game feels like something different. The win conditions are really cool, with so many different ways to win. On top of that, the board has a great style that makes the gameplay even more enjoyable. Overall, it makes for a really fun and engaging game!
I went into Digging Bandits without being a huge Western fan, and that ended up not mattering at all. The theme gives the game a lot of personality, but the fun comes from the gameplay itself. It's easy to get into, engaging around the table, and has enough tension and unpredictability to keep everyone involved.
You definitely don’t need to know or love Westerns to enjoy it. If anything, the setting just adds some extra charm and atmosphere while you’re playing. It feels like the kind of game you can bring out with a mixed group and have a good time regardless of what genres everyone is normally into.

Picked up the Founders Edition and it's quickly become a regular at our table. The rules are easy to learn, so even friends who don't usually play board games got into it within minutes, but there's enough strategy to keep everyone engaged. Swiping loot from each other led to plenty of laughs and some friendly trash talk. The artwork and components look great and feel well made. Rounds move fast, so it's always "one more game." It's great to support a small team that clearly cares about what they've created. Highly recommend for families and friend groups!
This was a fun, interesting, and exciting themed game! We played it as a family and it was quite easy to understand and pick up right out of the box. We appreciated the creativity that went into the story line as well as the quality build of the game itself. In terms of game play, it flows pretty briskly once you learn the ropes - instructions provided were very clear. The game presented a good mix between chance/luck and skill/strategy, and allowed for some competitive spirit to come out. You can be as aggressive or as friendly as you'd like, all while feeling like you're on your own wild west adventure! Many of the character and card descriptions, as well as the artwork, brought about a good chuckle or two! Overall, an excellent game well suited for a solid board game night. Great work!
Digging Bandits is such a fun and creative concept! My family loves the wild west theme and the artwork and characters that give it so much personality. Easy to learn and fun to play. We love the friendly competition when digging for gold. I also love that its Canadian founded. Digging Bandits has become one of our family regulars (we play a lot!)
